Quidpal is a system where you will be matched with a random quidditch player in the world as a new penpal. One of the best parts of quidditch is the people you meet at competitions, and the connections forged over time. With the global pandemic, quidditch events have been cancelled and delayed, halting one of the best parts of being part of the community. Quidpal is a solution for those who want to make new friends.

Sign up today, and spark something new today. Signups close on 15 April 2020. Within a week, you will be allocated a random member of the community to chat with.

How to participate:

  1. Sign up to the Google Form here. Only an email address is required. Optionally you can answer some (but not all) of the questions if you want a more tailored match.
  2. Within a week after 15 April, you will be matched with a random quidditch person via email.
  3. Start a conversation from there!

FAQ:

Do we send letters?

Only if you want to. Quidpal operates over email, and once connected two people can decide how they wish to communicate. With the pandemic, it may not be advisable to send mail in your country, but it is up to you if you wish to communicate via letters, messenger, or email after the initial connection.

Is Quidpal associated with any organisation?

Quidpal is unaffiliated with all organisations. This is a fun side-project.

Will my email be used for anything else, such as marketing?

No. The sole purpose of your email is to be used to connect with one random person. Your data will not be used for any other purpose, and will not be shared with anyone else. For more information, check out the Terms and Conditions.

Why is this page run on Virtual Perceptions?

After consideration, it was felt Quidpal did not need a dedicated website to run effectively. As such, it is hosted on a site run by Tom Ffiske dedicated to immersive reality, as a hidden page.

Where can I read the Terms and Conditions?

You may find the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy here.

Who started Quidpal?

Quidpal was started by Tom Ffiske, a member of the community from the UK.
